Our beautiful, brand new Spencer Street campus in Las Vegas, NV is seeking a Full Time Custodian to perform general cleaning and maintenance of the building and grounds to ensure safe and hygienic conditions and will also serve as a resource and guide for Housekeeping staff. The selected candidate for this position will interact professionally and courteously with all parties, demonstrating a genuine concern for work quality and will serve as a resource for housekeeping staff by assisting in training and by demonstrating appropriate work behaviors and policy compliance. In addition, you will serve as a point of contact to/from housekeeping staff on routine matters of practice, safety, or policy. Communicate any issues or concerns promptly and appropriately to the Maintenance Supervisor. Maintain a clean and safe environment by following the established Custodian Task schedules and providing general upkeep in all assigned areas (changing air filters, cleaning vents, window cleaning, commercial kitchen cleaning, etc.). Responsible for performing routine inventory checks to consistently ensure an adequate supply cleaning equipment and products. Other duties include the use of commercial vacuums. floor buffers, carpet cleaners, etc. to ensure the appropriate maintenance and upkeep of the building, removal of trash and recycling from building to outdoor receptacles. Perform routine and special cleaning tasks (e.g., removing spots on carpet and upholstery, graffiti on surfaces, clean walls, windows, light fixtures, etc.)Refill soap dispensers, towel boxes, etc. as needed. A minimum of one year of related work experience with a strong aptitude and ability to perform routine buildings and grounds maintenance ,including the ability to kneel; crouch; stoop; climb stairs/ladders; push and pull up to 200 pounds (with assistance/wheels/etc.) lift up to 50 pounds; reach and work at, above, or below shoulder level; use hands and fingers to grasp, pull, and manipulate tools, machinery, and other objects; and the ability to work above ground level.
