Accenture Federal Services - National Security Portfolio is Hiring a Scrum Master Near Mc Lean, VA

Job Description: 

Accenture Federal Services is seeking a Scrum Master, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic portfolio management, coordination, and integrated schedule management for multiple stakeholder groups. 

  • Working in an Agile environment following Lean Agile methodologies
  • Managing requirements and creating user stories with input from the Technical Lead, team leads, and the customer as well as external teams
  • Contribute to the development and management of an Integrated Master Schedule that tracks key milestones, dependencies across numerous organizations, programs, and systems.
  • Working in conjunction with the team leads and customers to prioritize work for each sprint
  • Continuously assess how key stakeholders are performing against the planned schedule, report status/issues to executive management, and work with all parties to initiate corrective action to maintain schedule
  • Identify portfolio and program risks and develop/execute mitigation strategies to minimize impact to program schedule.
  • Drive Agile industry best practices across the portfolio to improve the velocity and quality of development teams to meet/exceed stakeholder needs.
  • Facilitating the Agile ceremonies, such as daily Scrum, planning, retrospectives, and reviews
  • Coaching a continuous improvement mindset and recommend adjustments to established delivery practices
  • Facilitating communication among the team
  • Provide backup support to the Configuration Manager with deployment planning and activities
  • Serve as Incident Manager during deployments
    • Keep user stories updated in the requirements tool and on the scrum board
    • Enter new user stories into the requirements tool
    • Work with team to groom the backlog in preparation of sprints
    • Run the daily scrums, sprint planning sessions and sprint review meetings
    • Create Agile Ceremonies slides
    • Manage the change management / SPOT reporting process
    • Update team documentation as needed
    • Schedule meetings, TEMS, and conference rooms as needed

Here's what you need:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Experience as a Scrum Master within an Enterprise Agile software development environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with an ability to communicate complex technical topics to management and non-technical audiences
  • Experience using JIRA and Confluence

Bonus points if you have:

  • Active Certified Scrum Master (CSM) and Agile DevOps
  • Experience on multiple Scrum teams in a variety of different contexts (different team sizes, different organizations, different cultures, co-located vs. distributed, etc.)
  • Well versed in a variety of Agile approaches (SAFe, Scrum/LeSS, Kanban)
  • Experience leading enterprise-wide transformational change initiatives
  • Experience working with Senior Leadership within the Sponsor environment
  • Experience in intelligence operations and writing, reading, and coordinating cables

Security Clearance:

  • An active TS/SCI with Polygraph required to start.

Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California, Colorado, New York City or Washington as set forth below and information on benefits offered is here.

Role Location: Range of Starting Pay for role

California: $105,200 - $168,400 

Colorado: $105,200 - $145,500 

New York City: $121,700 - $168,400

Washington: $112,100 - $154,900
