ACCENT SERVICES is Hiring a Senior HM&E Test & Trials Specialist - Production Near Marinette, WI

POSITION SUMMARY

This position would be responsible for maintaining build schedule for LCS, MMSC and FFG to meet milestone requirements, and leading the HM&E team in the execution of all HM&E Test and Trial events at Marinette Marine.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • They would work closely with Combat Systems Teams, SSBA, Lockheed Martin SI&T and other test organizations to develop and implement plans to meet all FFG milestones for the ships HM&E systems and support systems related to the Combat Systems elements on board the ships.
  • They would assist in the development of the ships test plan and drive production and trials milestones on LCS, MMSC and FFG.
  • Assist Engineering when needed with subject matter expert input into the development and design of the HM&E, Support Systems and Controls Systems on board LCS, MMSC and FFG.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of test plans to meet HM&E Test and Trials requirements onboard FFG. Help manage the testing, problem identification, repair and re-test of all Machinery and Support Systems in order to meet the Build Specification requirements on LCS, MMSC and FFG.
  • Ability to work with internal customers and outside agencies such as NAVAIR, SWIT, IWS 1, Aegis Test Team, BUMED, PEO IWS, NIWC, SSBA, NSWC DD, FAA and PMS-501.
  • Identify, track, communicate, and coordinate problems and deficiencies impacting each certification and develop mitigation strategies as appropriate.
  • Coordinate Trials planning & conduct with the shipyard and other stakeholders for shipboard certifications relating to the machinery and propulsion systems.
  • Provide liaison with the Navy test community.
  • Must abide by and enforce all organizational policies and procedures.
  • Expected to drive each ship to higher levels of completion
  • Coordinates with the key POC's for all certification activities in the yard
  • Responsible to supply input for out briefs and communications with internal and external parties
  • Monitors and coordinates completion of all trial cards written against the various hulls through the delivery that are tied to certifications and as directed by the Area Manager.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position supervises approximately 25 personnel, and works closely with a variety of employees and levels of positions. Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the Company's policies, procedures, and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and coordinating work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Demonstrates leadership skills that align with the mission, vision, and values of the Company.

SKILLS:

  • Ability to coordinate production, vendors, and outside agencies for required test and trials activities, both in yard and post-delivery if necessary.
  • Ability to research design and implementation issues, read and translate ship drawings, and communicate implementation approaches and deficiencies.
  • Sound knowledge and experience with USN regulatory body requirements, classification standards, marine engineering practices, specifications and rules for above areas.
  • Ability to perform analysis and studies in depth, make professional presentations, and keep up with technical advancements in above areas.
  • 15 years in a shipyard-testing program, with experience in Test Development, Trouble Reporting, sub contracts management and Trials execution.
  • Must have strong Microsoft Office Suites computer skills. [Prefer knowledge of how to use Visio, AutoCAD and/or Navisworks]
  • Must have strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Must have the ability to maintain a professional demeanor.
  • Must have effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Secret Clearance or able to meet the requirements to gain a Secret Clearance is required.

The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet. When entering the shipyard, the work environment is not climate-controlled and there is exposure to moving equipment, etc.
