ABOUT THE ROLE

The Test Engineer will be a part of the Quality Engineering group supporting core frontend and back-office applications testing. You will have the opportunity to understand and build test automation frameworks and scripts to increase regression testing activities. You will be involved in application testing and present your findings to the teams in the organization to ensure app quality. You will be exposed to a broader set of problems, understanding customer experience, migrations, new product initiatives, improving product performance, and optimizing environments. There will be an opportunity to build test procedures with the latest feasible tools and techniques and leverage the automation process to increase testing productivity. This is a largely cross functional opportunity working with software product, development, architecture, cloud operations and support teams.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

• Accountable for the successful launch and delivery of new, key Accela Product Releases, Engineering Initiatives, alignment for Cloud deployments activities
• Develop test suites for release testing and release deployments
• Automate the core applications scenarios and validation of new features within the scrum cycles to increase engineering productivity
• Automate API and UI testing for web-based products and application services using Jmeter and open-source tools
• Integrate test cycles with CI/CD pipeline
• Work creatively and efficiently in troubleshooting and resolution of system issues
• Document test cases and defects to report in TestRail/JIRA
• Work with Product Owners, Developers, and Engineering Leads to analyze complex system

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or any related discipline
• 2 years of quality engineering, hands on experience with API testing and test automation using open-source tools
• Good knowledge of frontend and backend application testing, API and Mobile testing, integration with DevOps pipeline
• Knowledge of Java based application testing is highly desired, especially with Angular a huge plus
• Experience of using Jenkins or other CI/CD tools, Git or other SCM tools
• Ability to collaborate closely with clear communication skills

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Development experience in Jmeter and any Performance test; a plus 
• Experience in SaaS products, API services and Pipeline activities; a plus
