Position Summary:

The Childhood League Center, a licensed early childhood education program, has an exciting opportunity for a Teacher/Teacher Assistant Floater. The Teacher/Teacher Assistant Floater provides support and assists with daily routines within class & school environment. Also, supports the child's environment and self-esteem. We seek a high-energy, collaborative, flexible and creative professional with excellent communication skills. Reports to Preschool Supervisor and Chief Program Officer.
Job Responsibilities:
•Float as needed, will be assigned to various classrooms (Preschool or Toddler)
•Assist children in daily routine and classroom activities
•Assist in adapting environment to support child's participation, as directed by teacher and teacher assistants (lifting the child, assisting the child in their adaptive equipment, playing on the floor, changing diapers, etc.)
•Establish and maintain a cooperative working relationship with classroom teachers, teacher assistants, therapists, students and families; attend team meetings
•Responsible for completing training as required by licensure standards and any intervention procedures
•Assistance during parent drop-off and pick-up of children at front desk; work in collaboration with receptionist, as needed
•Monitor and report art studio supplies and materials
•Review classroom newsletters, team agendas, remind app, etc. on, at least, a weekly basis
•Lock / unlock playground gate, as needed
•Assist in kitchen as needed
•Assist with lunch duties
•Maintain classroom supplies & materials per teacher's lesson plans
•Other duties as needed and as assigned
Requirements:
•Bachelor degree in early childhood development or related field required
•Minimum years of experience: 3 - 5 years' experience working with children with special needs 12 months to age 6
•Must be able to lift, carry, push/pull fifty (50) pounds with frequent lifting and/or carrying of up to fifty (50) pounds; stooping, bending, twisting, sitting on floor for periods of time, must be able to lift physically handicapped and non-ambulatory students; must be flexible as assignments may be a short-term or long-term basis.

From $16.50 per hour
