Banning Lewis Ranch Academy is seeking highly-qualified Information Technology Field Support Specialist in Colorado Springs, CO dedicated to providing superior service for all students during our 2022-2023 school year!

At Banning Lewis Ranch, we serve students in Grades K-5. Highlights include our Capturing Kid’s Hearts Program, Celebration of Learning Nights, 5th Grade Capstone Field Trip to Washington DC, and a well-rounded student schedule that includes Spanish, Art, PE, Music & Technology.

At Banning Lewis Prep, we serve students in Grades 6-12. We carefully transition students into Middle School with purposeful social activities and programs as LEAD our leadership development program, sports through the Central Colorado Athletic League, and numerous clubs and electives. In High School, we offer traditions such as Homecoming, Prom, and Student Senate. We focus on Concurrent Enrollment opportunities, Service Learning Projects, Senior Capstone Projects, and college and career readiness (such as online courses, career & technical business programs, foreign exchange program opportunities and much more. Information Technology Field Support Specialist

The successful candidate will work with school faculty, corporate leaders and IT vendors on the design, implementation and support of school technology that will be used in both a traditional school campus and a blended online environment. This position requires an individual who can provide extremely professional hands on work and friendly phone support as well. The selected individual will need strong problem resolution skills as well as the ability to multitask.

Responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with school leaders, on departmental and school projects.
  • Working remotely with corporate IT department on resolving onsite issues.
  • Timely completion of technical support tickets.
  • Performs necessary servicing and preventative maintenance of all IT equipment.
  • Managing inventory of all IT assets.
  • Deployment and maintenance of endpoint management software, manage antivirus alerts for all computers, run updates, disk cleanups and disk defrags as needed.
  • Provide computer training and ongoing support for students and teachers.
  • Assisting in the operation and maintenance of the student instruction technology and third-party IT vendors.
  • Manages third party vendors with school security camera systems.
  • Presents and always maintains a professional image.
  • Daily IT support for staff and students.
  • Google Admin Console – Student account creations, overall structure of our google suite
  • Website - Update and edit content and items as needed, creation of new buttons in Photoshop
  • SharePoint - Creator of the BLA SharePoint site. Used as an intranet, with ticketing systems and document sharing.
  • Student Testing -Assist with setting up testing timeline and tech use for each building. Update all computers and Chromebooks testing software

Software & Hardware Knowledge Requirements:

  • MS Office 365 (latest Versions)
  • Chromebook and Apple devices
  • Creating and deploying desktop images.
  • MS Windows 10 and Windows 11
  • Active Directory
  • VPN
  • Wireless Access Points
  • MS OneDrive/ SharePoint
  • Network Printers & Scanners
  • Remote Desktop Support (/ Skype/Autotask AEM)
  • Online Educational /State Testing

Required Skills:

  • A Certification or equivalent experience servicing PC hardware and software.
  • Bachelor’s degree or Associate degree in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems.
  • Three or more years related field service experience.
  • Excellent communication, organizational and technical phone skills.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Compensation: $ 50,000 annually
