The starting rate for this position is $15.58 per hour and up. Pay is based on experience.

Schedule: 1:30 pm to 10 pm (5 days a week)

GENERAL SUMMARY

The Laundry Assistant is responsible for operating laundry equipment, maintaining the physical cleanliness of the laundry, and launders residents' linens, blankets, towels, personal clothing, etc. This position sorts, folds and distributes linens and follows proper infection control procedures. Performs other duties as directed. Reports directly to the Plant Operations Director. This position is hourly (non-exempt).

REQUIREMENTS

• High school graduation or G.E.D., preferred
• Experience in laundry assistance activities and use of supplies preferred.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to communicate in one or more Asian or Pacific Islander languages desired.
