Starting pay for this position is $15 an hour. Pay based on experience

GENERAL SUMMARY: The ACC Care Center Activity Assistant is responsible for the safe operation, transportation for outing destinations and joy rides, and the safe delivery of residents to and from assigned designations. This is an hourly (non-exempt) position. This position reports to the Activity Director.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree in social services or a related field with courses in psychology, gerontology and/or social services preferred.

• Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written) required. Bi-lingual (verbal and written) preferred.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel spreadsheet, word processing)

• Flexible hours (mostly week days but some evenings and weekends required).

• Ability to work with diverse Asian and Pacific Islander language and ethnic populations.

• Experience in a non-profit environment desired.

• Must successfully complete a criminal background check and a pre-placement physical exam.

• 21 years of age for company vehicle insurance, and possess a valid California driver’s license with a clean driving record, preferred.
