Accountant

This position provides accounting services across a broad spectrum and service areas including financial statement and tax return preparation. The job performs a variety of accounting services such as account reconciliations, preparation of workpapers, preparation of financial statements, paperless conversions, tax return preparation, completing sales tax returns, and more.

We are seeking a contributor who possesses a strong understanding of accounting and finance principles. The position would work and interact with all members of the accounting team, as well as communicating with personnel in various departments to accomplish different projects and goals.

• Perform and execute day-to-day financial operations (cash management, accounts payable, customer billing, general ledger maintenance, financial statement preparation, P&L and regulatory capital calculations, etc.)
• Perform all aspects of the monthly closing. Responsible for all regulatory compliance from a finance perspective and file monthly, quarterly, and annual reports with various regulatory authorities.
• Coordinate external audit and tax filings as required.
• Administer and follow the collection escalation process and document activities as required.
• Prepare and maintain inventory overhead rates. Coordinate cycle counts and physical inventory processes. Monitor inventory transactions for accuracy.

Education/Experience – Minimum 2-year Accounting Degree or minimum 5 years accounting experience.

Technology proficient with Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, Outlook. Global Shop Solution experience is highly desired; however, training will be provided to the right candidate.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $58,500.00 - $74,100.00 per year
