North Shore Mortgage is seeking an inspiring, strategic-minded Vice President of Mortgage Lending, who will lead the mortgage lending efforts of our organization and report directly to the Senior Vice President of the Mortgage division. North Shore Bank is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Key Responsibilities: Ensures that the mortgage lending division's activities reflect the bank's mission, vision and values. Maintains responsibility for all activities of the mortgage loan origination process including the planning, direction, growth, and management of the mortgage divisions lending activities. Implements growth strategies relative to mortgage sales efforts. This includes the leadership of the mortgage origination teams across Duluth and its surrounding areas with a vision to broaden our reach through expansion which may include actively recruiting and onboarding new mortgage loan originators and/or opening new satellite offices. Ensures the bank is operating within all federal, state, and local laws and regulations regarding its mortgage lending and servicing practices, procedures, and policies while maintaining strong asset quality. Engages in developing community relationships and network professionals (realtors, builders and other referral partners) to increase the number of real estate applications originating monthly. Continuously identifies opportunities to enhance the mortgage borrowing experience, and works with bank marketing with respect to development of mortgage marketing strategies, support for the mortgage sales team and customer experience. Develops secondary marketing strategies and is responsible for relationships with the GSEs and private mortgage investors. Engages with the Director of IT and the Director of Marketing and Communications to ensure mortgage technology and marketing strategies align with the growth efforts. Ensures responsive and cooperative lines of communication between and among all of the staff within the mortgage lending division in other areas of the bank. Proven experience in building and leading a high performing mortgage sales team that is driven by mission and values. Extensive knowledge of FHA, VA, FNMA, and FHLMC guidelines as well as HMDA, Fair Lending, ECOA, TIL, and RESPA consumer laws required. *Salary is commensurate with experience.
