Abilities First, Inc., an affiliate of the Abilities Partnership of the Hudson Valley, has been making a difference in the lives of people with developmental disabilities for almost sixty years. We offer a wide variety of services including school and preschool programs, day habilitation, residential habilitation, community habilitation, and employment services.

The Pre-School program is now accepting applications for an Administrative Assistant. The program serves children with developmental disabilities ages 3-5. Under the direct supervision of the Program Director the Administrative Assistant will perform secretarial and organizational tasks which guarantee the business-like function of the Preschool. Duties include but are not limited to: Answers phone, great visitors, filing, purchase orders, copying, and mailing of reports. Good judgement required in performing overall job and ability to handle work with confidentiality. The busy front desk requires attention to detail, good judgement, and a pleasant demeanor is a must!
Hours would be Monday - Friday 7:30-4:00, 40 hour a week position.

Requirements
The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational and communication skills, comprehensive computer experience and good typing skills with the ability to multitask. Candidate must be proficient with Microsoft Excel, data collection and reporting. High School graduate and/or Business School. Preferably AS degree in computer science or related field, minimum of 4 years in an administrative support role is required.
