Description
The Quality Systems Technician assists the Quality team with implementation of company-wide operations procedures and process to support the overall Quality Assurance plan. This role support Quality improvement throughout the shop floor and within the team concept. Participate as cross-functional team member within assigned goal oriented team responsibility.
Responsibilities:
• Inspection of incoming materials & components, ABEC manufactured items, and assembled systems in order to ensure conformance to established quality standards and all related quality documentation requirements
• Conduct in-process inspections and prepare reporting documents as required during manufacturing
• Conduct “Walk Downs” of systems using the Job Data file to ensure completeness and accuracy of data
• Involvement as requested during Pre-FAT activities
• Final Inspection of Vessel & Systems for approval of packaging/crating of equipment
• Conduct various administrative functions as required in support of Quality Department activities
• Assist in controlling & maintaining test equipment and calibration of test equipment within ABEC
• Filing of project-related and Quality Department documentation
• Assist in the auditing of project Turnover Packages (TOPs)
• Interaction with customers and vendors as needed
• Inspection of incoming materials & components, ABEC manufactured items, and assembled systems in order to ensure conformance to established quality standards and all related quality documentation requirements
• Physical inspection of manufactured parts to verify conformance to design drawings and related specifications (material, dimensional, surface finish, etc.)
• Ensure accurate and complete receipt of all required quality-related documentation
• Travel to other ABEC facilities, vendor locations or customer sites as required to support Quality Department activities
• Follow all safety rules and policies
• Execute other tasks as assigned
Requirements:
• HS Diploma minimum, Associate Degree in a technical field preferred
• 3 years post graduate work in a related field or function
• Certified Quality Inspector, (CQI) / Certified Quality Technician (CQT) preferred but not mandatory
