ABC Technologies Inc. is a world leader in vertically integrated plastic processing, supporting a global organization with locations in North America, South America, Europe and Asia. ABC Technologies’ core business as an Automotive Tier 1 supplier is in the Design, Development and Production of plastic automotive systems and components for OEMs worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements and general accounting reports as well as external reports for the government, auditors and the bank.
• Ensure adherence to corporate purchasing policies and procedures and ensure accuracy and timeliness of all relevant data.
• Responsible for the preparation and monitoring of the financial costs and administrative goals of the company.
• Inform management of all current activities through analysis and various reports.
• Measure the extent of successful performance and accomplishments in comparison to Company standards.
• Control accounts receivable, purchasing, critical forms (such as checks, invoices, purchase orders, etc.), keys and traffic at the most effective levels. Maintains properly secured records as required by the Federal Government and Corporate procedures.
• Reconcile and book payroll bi-weekly and cash requirements weekly. Reconcile tooling amortization each financial period.
• Responsible for the preparation, instructions, coordination and monitoring of physical inventory twice per year.
• Participates in the preparation of business plans as requested by Plant Controller.
• Ensure there are no quality or production interruptions or errors due to lack of giving or seeking information by fully informing the General Manager of all events affecting plant operations.
• Take action (where applicable) to promptly correct or remove all workplace hazards and unsafe work conditions.
• Ensure that all aspects of the area of responsibility are in full compliance with the quality system in place at the operation at all times.
• Follow company safety rules 100% of the time, and ensure that all procedures under the Occupational Health and Safety Act are being followed.
• Create and maintain an atmosphere in the company which will foster an “open door” policy to improve communications and satisfaction. Promotes good communication and cooperation by maintaining positive habits and attitude

Qualifications

• Three or more years of experience preparing financial reports, general accounting practices, cost accounting, and budgetary controls.
• Bachelor Degree and/or equivalent Accounting level courses.
