ABC Technologies is Hiring a Customer Service Specialist Near Wyoming, MI

Overview

To schedule/plan internal and customer shipment as necessary, to monitor EDI and update customer portals. Contribute to a work environment where fairness, equality and non-discriminatory practices are the standard. 

Responsibilities

  • Customer Service Specialist carries out all customer service activities, such as, but not limited to responding to inquiries, processing orders, and handling requests, in a prompt, courteous, and effective manner.
  • The CSR will ensure daily cadence is being followed with system upkeep of EDI reschedules, transmitted by our customer or any manual orders received. The schedules must be reviewed continually, to ensure that the CUM’s match, unlinked parts are maintained, and customer orders are validated, etc.
  • Monitor that OEM window times are adhered to, with close detail to time sensitive shipment.
  • Be proactive in satisfying customer needs by communicating to Materials Manager, General Manager or other departments, in a timely manner, to avoid negative impacts to end customer.
  • Monitor window time daily, to ensure scheduled trucks leave on time and BOL integrity is maintained.
  • Ensuring quality and safety standards are always met by all warehouse staff.
  • Ensure all inbound material is verified, matches what was expected, and is accurately entered into the system.
  • Direct carriers to the appropriate dock doors for offloading and abide by ABC Health and Safety standards.
  • Verify quantity of full pallets and cases to ensure actual quantity is being received.
  • Processing RMA (Return Material Authorization) as required, and assisting with inventory counts and inspections.
  • Completing and entering all required documentation including preparing invoicing, following and tracking orders, shipping and receiving information for warehouse, and data entry.
  • Work with all departments and customers when POD (Proof of Delivery) information is required, to validate that goods are actually received.
  • Process all warehouse transfers in a timely manner between warehouse locations.
  • Perform random quality audits of the condition of goods, for incoming shipments prior to signing off, in conjunction with shipping personal

  • 1-2 years experience in Customer Service in a Manufacturing Environment 
  • Purchasing knowledge

  • Strong interpersonal skills
