ABC Home & Commercial Services is Hiring a Lawn & Tree Division Manager Near Austin, TX

Description

ABC is seeking a quick-to-connect, socially poised individual who will thrive on achieving results quickly. This person should be able to handle a variety of challenges while remaining results-oriented to drive the goals of the organization.

**Reports directly to the Vice President/CFO.**

This position will oversee the entire Lawn & Tree Division that currently has 275 Team Members .

Based in Austin, but will be required to travel to other branch offices (San Antonio, College Station & Corpus Christi)Occasional (1-2x/Month) visits to the branches is to be expected.

  • Bilingual (English & Spanish) preferred.
  • At least ten years of industry experience preferred leading a multi-million dollar operation.
  • Previous experience in Lawn Maintenance, Landscaping, Irrigation, Lawn Care and Tree preferred.
  • Experience in a leading position and demonstrated ability in motivating groups is preferred.
  • * ISA Certified Arborist preferred, or eligible to obtain certification within 1-year of hire date.
  • Licensed irrigator preferred, or eligible to obtain license within 1-year of hire date.
  • TDA licensed Pesticide Commercial/Non-Commercial Applicator preferred, or eligible to obtain license within 1-year of hire date.
  • Must be familiar with the safe & proper use of equipment used in the Lawn & Tree Division.
  • Must be able to communicate with members at all levels of the organization and customers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to develop and present comprehensive reports.
  • Ability to forecast work seasons and personnel needs.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to exercise initiative, judgment, and discretion.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.

As ABC's Lawn & Tree Division Manager, you will be responsible for supervising all areas of operation, managing staff, fostering a positive environment, and ensuring customer satisfaction and proper branch operation. The Lawn & Tree Division Manager will have a hands-on approach and will be committed to the expansion and success of the business by implementing strategies that build a welcoming and inclusive culture, increase productivity and achieve sales targets.

Requirements

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The emphasis on building rapport and relationships with individuals and groups requires an outgoing, poised and persuasive communication style.
  • Develops, implements, and executes a strategic business plan for the division including achievement of assigned metrics such as those related to financial forecasts and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborates and communicates at all levels of the organization to meet corporate and division goals.
  • Work closely with the Executive Team to implement vision and goals of the division.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, developments, new technologies, and market conditions relevant to the division and industry.
  • Identify current and prospective sales opportunities.
  • Meet goals and metrics set in collaboration with ABC Corporate.
  • Adhere to high ethical standards and ensures compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, and company policies, procedures, and compliance programs.
  • Assists in the interviewing, hiring, and training of new employees.
  • Bring out the best of the department’s personnel by providing training, coaching, development, and motivation.
  • Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
  • Locate areas of improvement and propose corrective actions when necessary.
  • Address customer and employee satisfaction issues promptly.
  • Network to improve the presence and reputation of the department and the company.
  • Stay abreast of competing markets and provide reports on local market trends/changes.
  • Briefing employees on all relevant information from the Executive Team.
  • Other duties as assigned.
