AB LP is Hiring a Senior Programmer Analyst Near Nashville, TN
We are seeking a Nashville based Senior Programmer Analyst to join our Development Team in Derivatives IT. Derivatives IT supports all core functions behind Derivatives middle office functions. This involves trade capture, settlement, valuation and risk calculations, reporting to many constituents such as banks, internal portfolio accounting systems, client risk and statement reporting systems. Additionally, counterparty risk reporting and collateral management functions are supported, ensuring we understand and mitigate risks of business with brokers. The department configures, tests, customizes vendor software and builds/enhances proprietary software. The Derivative Technology Team is responsible for supporting and providing advanced tools to analyze, book, price, and risk manage a broad spectrum of products and assets used by the various Investment teams. In addition, this team supports Fixed Income, Equity, Commodity, and Currency OTC derivatives used throughout the firm's portfolio management, trading, and operations. Members of the Derivative Technology team play critical roles in the firm’s success by providing proprietary technology solutions and supporting vendor applications which assist in complex investment decision-making, streamline trading, reduce operational risk, and improve efficiency. The Senior Programmer Analyst will be responsible for the IT support for the users of our Calypso Derivatives platform across multiple business lines and will provide business analysis on multiple ongoing and new initiatives related to derivative infrastructure across all asset classes. Success in this position requires a solid understanding of a broad range of technology solutions. Describe the applications and business or enterprise functions the role supports: Support Calypso vendor software including customizations in Java, and interfaces to many applications at AB in many departments. The key job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Development Data warehouse population and reporting System interfaces Batch development and support What makes this role unique or interesting? From a technical standpoint, the role allows a developer exposure to both Java and Python development, multiple dbms platforms, service bus architecture, XML & web services.
