Job Summary:

Plans, controls and directs (Mechanical Seals, Packing and TP/ARC) manufacturing and support functions, and operational strategies and activities to meet business objectives and to achieve maximum results for the company. Participates on the Executive Team to help develop and implement Company strategies and formulates operational policies and programs that guide the organization in maintaining and improving its competitive position and profitability. Continually evaluates programs and processes to identify areas for growth and improvement with a focus on Quality Deployment, Continuous Process Improvement and Safety, and monitors performance to address areas of opportunity and development. Provides knowledge and expertise of operations to other members of the Executive Team. Has responsibility for overseeing the Mechanical Seals, Packing and TP/ARC manufacturing, as well as overall Groveland facilities, materials, logistics, quality and North American Service Centers. Coordinates the operational improvement programs and systems with the manufacturing centers in Latin America and Europe, and has direct oversight of the Chesterton China site.

Job Model: Hybrid

All fully remote positions will require you to travel on site 2-4 times per month depending upon business needs at your own expense.

Hybrid positions will require employees to work both on-site and remote each week under a schedule that has been determined and agreed upon by you and your manager.

On-Site positions will require employees to work on-site for each of their scheduled shifts.

Responsibilities:

· Manage and oversee the daily activities of the Mechanical Seal, Packing and TP/ARC Operations Groups, including the US and Canadian Service Centers and the international operations in China.

· Develop, implement and execute strategies to improve and enhance the efficiency, effectiveness, quality, creativity, safety and overall performance of the Chesterton Operations.

· Interfaces with executive management on business issues and programs.

· Maintain close working relationships with the Sales & Marketing groups to provide the product production, support and services required of the End Users.

· Represent Company at customer, distributor, field sales meetings and events as well as industry groups.

· Direct short and long term staff and resource planning efforts for the Operations group.

· Responsible for the yearly performance measures, A1’s, performance and compensation reviews, recruitment and hiring, and employee training and development for the Operations groups.

· Manages Human Resource issues with support from Corporate HR to ensure integrity and legal obligations.

· Develops and manages the overall Operations annual budgets and insures that they are met.

· Participate in the active development of overall Chesterton long range strategic planning.

· Provides coaching and motivation to sales and operations personnel through participation in training programs, Sales meetings and key customer Sales calls.

· Involved in the identification and implementation of acquisitions and alliances for the Company.

· Acts as an active member of the Executive Team with respect to issues facing the company and the planning of budgets, programs and policies.

· Participates in operational review meetings and reviews on overall company and Operational issues.

· Leads, and actively participates in, supports and drives the quality systems (CBEM and the BMS) as well as certifications (ISO 9000;2000 and ISO 14000;2004) for the overall company.

· Leads, and works to help develop, implement and drive improved Environmental, Health and Safety programs at Chesterton.

· Leads, and actively participates in, supports and drives the continuous improvement activities for the overall company.

· Implementation and enforcement of, and compliance reporting related to, all Corporate Policies and Procedures, including all ethics and code of conduct policies.

Complexity of Duties:

· Responsible for creating and developing a successful vision for planning, budgeting and the execution of Operations programs and processes.

· Requires high-level strategic and tactical planning abilities. Responsible for creating and developing a successful tactical plan for budgeting and the execution of business programs and processes.

· Work is reviewed in terms of meeting organizational, financial and operational objectives.

· Requires high-level presentation and communication skills. Contacts are frequent with equivalent level inter-organizational executives, managers and customer representatives.

Education and/or Experience:

· Master’s Degree in Business or related field

· 10 years related experience or equivalent combination education and experience
