POSITION SUMMARY

The Solar Site Surveyor is responsible for gathering accurate site information to share with the project & installation teams. They will evaluate & report on structural & electrical conditions of a site to better prepare for a successful installation. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

SITE SURVEYING

• Coordinate and schedule daily site visits with project team and customers
• Safely conduct a physical site survey using site survey app, equipment, & ladders
• Measure and evaluate roof for PV array layout feasibility & attachment method
• Evaluate site electrical system & interconnection options for system
• Assess risks or potential upgrades needed to existing site roof or electrical system
• Review installation plans & component locations with customers and general contractors 
• Educate customers on installation process and expectations 
• Conduct thorough photo documentation for all required areas and items
• Take clear & concise notes for all of the above
• Strictly adhere to company safety policies at all times

REPORTING 

• Upload complete & accurate site survey reports in a timely manner
• Ensure site documentation is organized & easily accessible
• Work closely with Design Team to confirm designs match actual site conditions
• Identify upcoming jobs with potential problems or complexity for additional site visits
• Ensure feedback is taken into account and put to in practice on new site surveys

PROJECT & SALES SUPPORT

• Be available for additional coordination meetings with project team as a resource
• Support project managers with additional needs - Permits, Inspections, Walkthroughs
• Support sales team with site visits for complex project opportunities

REQUIREMENTS

• Highly organized and self-motivated individual
• Able to take good quality photographs, create site sketches, & record data
• Proficiency with smart phone applications 
• Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor with all customers & partners
• Good communication and organizational skills
• Must be willing to travel
• Must be able to lift heavy objects (50 lbs. or more)
• Must be able to climb a ladder and work on a steep sloped roof
• Must be willing to get in a crawl space/attic
• Valid driver's license and clean driving history

PRIOR EXPERIENCE (preferred but not required)

• PV & Storage installation
• Electrical background
• Roofing construction
• OSHA 10 certification
• Experience with Solmetric SunEye, Sitecapture, and related programs
