Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred in a related field.Experience: 1 year of proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role, preferably in a shelter or similar environment.1 years extensive experience and knowledge in the formulation, development, implementation and monitoring of prevention/intervention services and programs.Strong interpersonal & communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.Ability to make sound decisions under pressure and resolve conflicts.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES: Responsibilities will include but not limited to: Recruit, train, supervise and evaluate program Case Managers to meet program needs, fully utilizing the skills of the most qualified people available. Goals must be set which encourage ongoing professional growth and demand that high performance standards of the agency are met. Document (verbal/written) and submit accurate, significant, and routine paperwork such as progress notes, productivity reports, daily activities, upcoming events, special concerns, varied incident reports, etc., as required by the program. Serves as a positive role model/mentor for the client and accompanies client to approved activities if required. Provides information, education and guidance to clients and support system members, advocacy, and coordination of care.Responsible for the overall operations of the program to include maintaining physical plant according to agency, licensing and/or contractual requirements, ensuring appropriate and effective client care/services. Schedules and monitors staff workload. Actively participates in Quality Management. Effectively communicate program progress, activities and needs both verbally and through informal/formal report writing. Establish working relationships with the Human Resources, Philanthropy, Operations and Accounting Department assuring deadlines are met with accuracy and in a timely manner. Demonstrates the ability to implement and manage organizational changes through a team approach, promotes a sense of shared ownership and a positive, collaborative work environment. Report to the Director of Shelter Services in a timely manner any areas of concern.Understand and review the budget monthly with Director of Shelter Services.ComplianceMust be at least 21 years of ageClean 39-month driving recordCurrent auto liability insuranceValid driver’s license with reliable transportationMust pass pre-employment drug testMust be able to obtain Class One Fingerprint Clearance Card upon hire (if there are any uncertainties whether an applicant may have to go through an appeal process; they are encouraged to complete that process prior to applying, as an invalid card will result in termination of employment)
