LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

About the Role

The Learning and Development Manager is part of the Organization and People Development Team at A-LIGN. The team is responsible for L&D, Performance Management, Onboarding and Employee Engagement across all areas and levels of the business. This role, is focused on building, executing, and delivering innovative learning strategies across several functions within our Service Delivery practice. Specifically accountable for building the foundational and advanced skills, knowledge, and capabilities that our practitioners need to position themselves as leaders in quality among the marketplaces.

Reports to: Director of Organization and People Development

Pay Classification: Full-Time, Exempt

Responsibilities

  • Develop a portfolio of curriculums that enable the L&D function to scale and meet the needs of our rapidly growing workforce, with an emphasis on quality.
  • Own and manage all aspects of the portfolio's operations. This includes strategy development, resource & stakeholder management, communication, evaluation, reporting and delivery of learning content.
  • Build, manage and leverage relationships with business stakeholders.
  • Execute with strong project management skills. Managing project plans, milestones and understanding what/how to prioritize to meet objectives. Keep leaders informed on a regular basis knowing when/how to escalate issues.
  • Conduct needs assessments, determine gaps in curriculums, and create/execute a strategy to support functions within Service Delivery.
  • Analytical ability to oversee the strategy, execution and analysis of learner feedback and other data to promote continuous improvement of development solutions.
  • Manage resources and budgets to ensure the effective delivery of the curriculum, programs, and processes.
  • Determine appropriate facilitation strategies to effectively deliver learning content.
  • Evolve and expand the curriculum, leveraging third party learning content as necessary.
  • Foster strong working relationship virtually with OPD team as well as 1 direct report. Provide regular coaching and mentoring.
  • Partner with Global workforce to understand specific L&D needs and ensure training appropriately provides support on a Global scale.

Minimum Qualifications

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree

EXPERIENCE

  • At least 5 years of experience in relevant field
  • Prior consulting or professional services experience is encouraged

SKILLS

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, professional services environment
  • Sound leadership skills
  • Strong strategic and critical thinking; clear understanding of how moving pieces come together
  • Go-to resource for adult learning theories, leading-edge instructional design methods, performance consulting, communications and change management
  • Significant program management experience in successfully planning, managing, and delivering multiple, concurrent, and complex work streams in a matrixed organization with aggressive timelines
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills that build relationships at all levels across the organization with the ability to influence, collaborate, and build consensus
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to identify and present data-driven insights and trends
  • Proven ability to communicate ideas and insights effectively
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office skills specifically PowerPoint and Excel
