ABOUT THE ROLE

The Operations Analyst analyzes and interprets financial and operating data for business planning and operations management. This position is accountable for providing accurately and timely pre-defined reports and detailed analysis on business performance. This role is critical for functional departmental objectives to be met such as forecasting accuracy, functional organizational goals, other internal metrics, etc. This role requires close interaction with functional business leaders.

PAY CLASSIFICATION: Full-Time, Exempt
RESPONSIBILITIES

• Use and develop best practice models to analyze large amounts of data and share insights
• Manage the pricing process to include compiling data from sales analytics tool and finance in order drive pricing recommendations
• Support revenue management process with detailed analytics and historical analysis of revenue composition
• Develop expert knowledge of in-house data sources and systems and become adept at quickly extracting and analyzing data from these sources
• Work with multiple stakeholders to improve reporting and tracking from our in-house systems
• Suggest ways to optimize value proposition for customer market segments based on price elasticity, customer profile, and operational costs
• Supply various ad hoc reports upon request
• Be a liaison between the FP&A team and all departments within the organization in providing operational support

• Ability to review multiple sources of data to analyze data in order to report key trends and provide recommendations in fast paced environment
• Must be able to be curious and triage why trends are occurring
• Ability to utilize technology tools including Salesforce, Excel, dashboards, and other tools in order to report and analyze data
• Can manage multiple work streams simultaneously such as analysis of trending and process improvement as well as react to shifting priorities
• Ability to create Salesforce Reports and Dashboards that are utilized across multiple departments
• Focus on understanding how reports represent the business processes
• Must have a sense of urgency around completing tasks and the order and priority of tasks based on business needs
• Must have the ability to work under pressure
• Must be detail oriented and organized in completing tasks
• Must have the ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines

EDUCATION

BS/BA degree in business or equivalent business experience

EXPERIENCE

• 1-3 years of professional experience in Business Analytics, with a focus on finance or business operations a plus
• 1-3 years of experience in analytical reporting
• Fluent in Excel including production of pivot tables and data manipulation techniques
• Experience designing and developing reports & data models in MS Excel
• Understanding of reporting and analytics, system integration and data governance
• Experience using Business Intelligence tools

• Good communication skills, able to multi-task, manage shifting priorities and problem solve
• Self-starter with ability to take initiative, seek information, work independently, and deliver completed projects
