A L HANSEN MFG CO is Hiring a CNC Machinist Near Waukegan, IL

Description

 A.L. Hansen Mfg. Co., an ISO 9001 certified company, is a leading manufacturer in the commercial hardware industry located in Waukegan is currently seeking a full time CNC Machinist.

 Primary purpose of job: 

 Maintain, repair and build new tooling for production purposes. Assist Punch Press production by troubleshooting on the shop floor.

Requirements

1. Follow all OSHA and Company safety regulations

2. Maintain a clean and safe work area

3. Program, setup and run CNC milling machine

4. Trouble shoot die problems on the shop floor when the situation dictates

5. Work closely with the Tool Designer while building new tools, fixtures and die components per blueprints

6. Work closely with engineering department when producing sample parts per customer’s request

7. Other duties as assigned

 Required skills, licenses, knowledge, experience or abilities:

1. Minimum 3 years Tool Room experience

2. Ability to program CNC

3. Die Making experience is a plus

4. Must be able to wear department required personal protective equipment

5. Ability to follow instructions and procedures

6. Ability to troubleshoot, multitask and work independently

7. Able to use CAD software, BOBCAD is a plus

8. Skilled in use of calipers, micrometers, height gages, and pin gages.

9. Proficient in the use of mills, grinders, drill presses, band saws, lathes and heat treat ovens

10. Must have own tools

11. Haas knowledge a plus

12. Choose tooling per application

13. College education / certificates in relevant areas preferred. College degree a plus
