Your skill set.

  • Associate's Degree in Interior Design required Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • 5 years relevant experience in high-end residential design required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Powerpoint
  • Proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Suite, Hand Rendering/Sketching
  • Ability to autonomously manage projects, client interaction and project design
  • Excellent written and and interpersonal communication skills
  • Demonstrated problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Strong organizational, time management and multi-tasking skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Ability to cultivate a professional presence through competence, reliability honesty, integrity and thoughtful listening
  • Proficient analytical and problem-solving skills with a passion for design and impeccable attention to detail
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively in a team environment, and meet deadlines
  • Must be insurable and able to travel to various worksites, as needed
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident, or possess a work visa to legally work in the U.S.

A day in the life of a Residential Interior Designer.

  • Develop and execute detailed interior design schemes from conception through completion with limited supervision and meaningfully contribute to the creative direction of a project and the firm
  • Select finishes, furniture, lighting, fabrics, and other decorative elements and source from various vendors, subcontractors and artisans
  • Work with and cultivate relationships with external consultants, furniture dealers, product reps, and fabricators to meet overall project objectives
  • Create client presentations to communicate concepts and design intent, and actively participate in presentation meetings
  • Manage multiple project at the same time and maintain strong relationships and prompt communication with clients and vendors to drive progress and stay on budget
  • Blending design disciplines such as interior design, architecture, and visual arts
  • Organize and execute flawless final turnkey installations, including styling with accessories
  • Site visits, contractor and client communications
  • Engaging clients and understanding their needs
  • You are a trusted member of the team, confident with handling confidential information professionally
  • Perform other duties as required/directed
