Description

This position is for our night shift, working hours are 3:00 PM – 2:00 AM.

Responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site's business goals and objectives. To be successful in this role, you must be able to represent A-1’s core values of Own It, Passionate, Honesty, and Respect.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintains, repairs, and conducts preventative maintenance on material handling and building equipment in safe and efficient manner.
  • Utilizes established PM and repair policies and procedures to return equipment to fully operational status.
  • Read and understand technical drawings (e.g., blueprints, electronic/mechanical schematics) to repair/maintain equipment.
  • Troubleshoot complex problems with equipment where the repair is not immediately visible or obvious.
  • Work as a team member with operations and other technicians to support the facility in the repair and maintenance of equipment.
  • Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to understand workload and record actions (e.g., workorders, asset/labor history, inventory usage).
  • Communicate with (or to) individuals or groups verbally and/or in writing (e.g., customers, suppliers, associates).
  • Operate material handling equipment, battery equipment, moving machinery, and other powered equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment, machines, and plant facilities (e.g., pneumatic systems, material handling equipment, hydraulic equipment, electronic and electrical equipment, etc.) according to procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to read blueprints, building plans, and repair manuals.
  • Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
  • Ability to follow instructions.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, Associates Degree Preferred
  • Coursework or certification in electronic technology and 2 years industrial maintenance experience specializing in electronic technology OR
  •  3 years industrial maintenance experience specializing in electronic technology

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods standing and walking.
  • Must be physically able to perform services/repairs when needed.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
