The role: • Recognize, exemplify and adhere to ICON's values which centers around our commitment to People, Clients and Performance. • As a member of staff, the employee is expected to embrace and contribute to our culture of process improvement with a focus on streamlining our processes adding value to our business and meeting client needs. • Travel (approximately 1%) domestic and/or international • Supports study start-up activities (e.g. reviews, comments on and contributes to study design, protocols, case report forms). • Supports writing of statistical methods sections of study protocols. • Reviews database specifications with oversight. • Supports development of table shells. • * Adheres to SOPs. • * Implements quality control checks throughout programming. • * Uploads/downloads data transfers (internal or external). • * Performs initial review of raw variables. • Supports development of written specifications for derived variables from oral descriptions. • Creates derived variables from written or oral specifications with oversight. • * Programs basic statistical procedures. • Programs specialized statistical procedures (e.g., repeated measures, survival analysis, etc.) and/or SAS/Graph with oversight. • Supports development of complex macros for use by the group. • Supports development of deliverables, such as project reports and outputs, graphs, and tables. • Supports development of abstracts, presentations, and manuscripts. • Communicates with the client or investigator as needed with oversight. • * Gives internal technical presentations. • Supports organization of internal presentations. • Supports professional activities including presentations at technical conferences (e.g. SAS meetings, ISPOR). • Attends weekly Data meetings. • Supports development of new SOPs and revision of existing SOPs. • Undertakes other reasonably related duties as may be assigned from time to time. We are looking for: • Bachelors or Master's degree in statistics, biostatistics, or related field • SAS Programming experience – (ideally 3 yrs or more) • Major experience in the Pharmaceutical/CRO industry Benefits of Working in ICON: Our success depends on the quality of our people.
