Join our world-class team today and fulfill your career potential! #LI-MC1 #LI-Remote Role: Automation Quality Assurance Engineer The Opportunity "We are currently seeking an experienced Software Quality Assurance Engineer to help develop and implement test plans for a team working on the next generation of Business Intelligence solutions for the FICO Platform. As a Lead, you will have the opportunity to partner with Product Managers as well as with Development Leads to design strategies for automated testing of both existing and new software at the application, feature, and API levels." - Hiring Manager. What You’ll Contribute In this position, you will work on testing FICO’s Decisioning Capabilities. You will collaborate with developers and product managers to ensure that their work is problem-free at all levels of the software stack. Your responsibilities will include the following. Communicate product readiness, level of quality, and testing results to Quality Assurance Management and the Product Owners. Identify gaps in the quality assurance and testing processes, generate solutions, and actively address them for continuous improvement. Participate in the Agile Product Development Lifecycle as part of a SCRUM team, ensuring that quality requirements are met by developing and implementing test plans and by reporting on their outcomes. Cooperate with various product engineering teams to ensure that integration points are identified and covered by test plans. Develop and maintain automated tests and suites used to flush out problems at the system, application, and feature level. Enter problem reports in a bug tracking system with detailed steps to reproduce. Develop and execute automated performance, load, and longevity tests, preparing reports for consumption by the Product Owners. Mentor more junior QA Engineers to promote best practices. Convert customer-reported defects into automated tests. What We’re Seeking Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science or related disciplines, or relevant experience in software architecture, design, development, and testing. Strong experience in Automation Software Quality Assurance. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a knack for finding ways to break software. Excellent written and verbal communication skills . Proven ability to communicate with Product Owners and Development Leads to formulate testing strategies and plans. Proven ability to define written specifications for test plans and/or designs for consumption by multiple stakeholders. Mastery of test automation practices and principles. Mastery of REST API testing Mastery in the use of JMeter or similar tooling for performance testing. Mastery in the use of Junit/TestNG for testing Java applications. Advanced knowledge and experience with Java. Advanced knowledge and experience with Python. Strong knowledge and experience in building automation framework for API/microservice and micro-frontend. Strong knowledge and experience with CI/CD processes. Strong knowledge and experience testing systems built using AWS and Kubernetes. Strong knowledge and experience using software bug tracking tools like JIRA. Proficiency with Agile methodology and related PDLC processes. Proficiency with Kafka is a plus. Proficiency with Perl is a plus. Proficiency testing Eclipse RCP Applications with SWTBot is a plus.
