HR Generalist Job Function

The HR Generalist is responsible for ensuring that the tactical day to day operation of Human Resources is fluid and that they are communicating with management, staff, new employees and vendors to service their needs. The HR Generalist will spend a majority of their time in recruitment related activity which includes screening/interviewing of candidates, pre offer background screenings and new hire orientation/onboarding. The rest of their time will be spent in the other functional areas of HR which include Employee Relations, Benefits, Compensation, HR Compliance and Training. They will assist in the area of policy development and research and serve as a key resource for the Director of Operations as growth in the organization continues.

Job Requirements

1. EDUCATION: Bachelors Degree in HR preferred

1. EXPERIENCE: 3 plus years working in Human Resources for a licensed facility strongly preferred

1. SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Excellent computer skills, including Word and Excel in a Microsoft Windows environment. Basic knowledge of fax, phone and photocopier
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• General knowledge of various employment laws and practices.
• Experience in administration of benefits and other HR programs.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Able to remain calm and professional when dealing with patient inquiry and employee inquiries.
• Database management and record keeping experience
• Able to exhibit a high level of confidentiality specifically in regards to HR sensitive information.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Must be able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others

Shift and Pay

Our organization is operating 24/7 365 days a year. This position does involve weekend scheduling and work.
