Title: Software Engineer KBR is seeking a Software Engineer in Warner Robins, GA. As the Software Engineer, you will work with a team of driven, supportive, and highly skilled professionals. This position will require participation in the design, development, and debugging of embedded software programs for computer and hardware-based systems. Performs systems modeling, simulation, and analysis. Collaborates with hardware design engineers on machine characteristics that affect software systems and works with them to resolve incompatibilities. As required, provides inputs for documentation of new or existing programs. May provide work leadership for lower-level employees. Excludes those whose responsibilities are primarily in applications programming and those with full supervisory responsibilities. REQUIRED SKILLS AND CAPABILITIES: Embedded C, C HDL, Verilog, VHDL Python Technical Writing REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or a related field or equivalent experience 3-5 years applicable software design engineering experience Systems development life cycle with Agile methodology Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) programming and design architecture Secret Security Clearance PREFERRED SKILLS AND CAPABILITIES: C# SPICE Environment MATLAB w/ SIMULINK Vivado & Quartus PREFFERED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Master’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent 5 years applicable software design engineering experience.
