4DV ANALYTICS is Hiring a Deputy Program Manager Near Tysons, VA

Reports to Program Manager
Overview(TS SCI position requiring polygraph and other vetting). 4DV Analytics is a growing mission-customer oriented company that has developed an easy-to-use location analytics platform that works across multiple information domains: geospatial, activity-based intelligence, imagery and fused contextual machine learning and analytics in exoscale data exploitation operational environments. People with intelligence or military experience will find that their skills can align with this position with some work. We are looking for highly motivated, action-oriented, team-oriented individuals with the motivations and skills to manage in a high operational tempo in the Tysons Corner and McLean Virginia area. Some work from home and in the Ashburn VA HQ is involved. This position has very high customer mission visibility and adapting to dynamic mission operations is an important fact. The objective is to be able to manage this or another program within 12 to 24 months or sooner. This is not a classical PM position; the manager is hands on and involved in all levels and elements of the program. Our teams involve managing 10 to 30 people in an operational environment commercial or on premise. Each installation involves company systems engineers, analysts, software developers, system administrators, machine learning experts, analytic system trainers, and operational support. This position is involved at all customer and company levels, and you will be exposed to interesting missions, technologies, and successes, you will not be bored.
Position Description
Provide direct support to the current program manager in all management functions, including production system operations and maintenance management and planning, management and coordination of enterprise integration efforts, and support system audit and accreditation processes and documentation. The systems involve a variety of public and private cloud installations as well as on-premise, dedicated high-performance installations and involves thousands of users, hundreds of data sources, and large-scale data warehouses. The organization is a non-bureaucratic flat organization. Functions includes working with the team to manage decision processes, developing solutions for new mission needs (user stories), technical design requirements, operational resource allocation and engagement with customer decision processes. Responsibilities include managing resources, schedules, end customer and company technical and operations processes. Provides program status and operational briefings. Involves helping customers solve their operational problems and manage change processes to inject new capabilities into operations.
The position requires:

  • Ability to quickly learn in a new environment and apply well developed personal initiative and independence every day
  • Experience managing decision and resource allocation processes with complex constraints and objectives
  • Problem solving skills to be applied across multiple domains (software development and integration, software application and hardware operations, analytic projects, personnel management)
  • Strong verbal and written skills; ability to contribute to and then take ownership of the creation, review, and delivery of contract deliverables
  • Experience dealing with executive management in government or commercial companies
  • Ability to talk to new customers, understand their problems/needs, identify solutions, and plan, manage, and develop/provide solutions satisfying their mission need
  • Willing to learn about and use operational data science technologies and analytic tools/applications
  • Willingness to acquire basic system engineering skills including change control, software testing and deployment procedures, security and accreditation processes, contract management processes
  • Familiarity with operating in a classified, compartmented environment with varying levels of need to know and data/activity compartmentation across the team
  • Using system administrator-level customer privileges with TS SCI clearance, polygraph, and requisite additional training and personal scrutiny

Highly Desirable

  • Military or Intelligence Operational Experience
  • Experience working across multiple organizations
  • Familiarity with the use of information, geospatial, signals, time series data and related practical knowledge
  • Familiarity with managing schedules and estimating time-resource tasks and understanding of time phased resource planning
  • Some experience with contracts or subcontracts

Work Location

  • McLean Virginia area and Ashburn Virginia. Work from home is possible 1 to 2 days a week
