We need someone who is eager to take the lead in creating awareness and actively promoting the importance of compliance while ensuring the development of a solid compliance culture throughout the entire organization. The Job The role includes managing the full suite of global compliance programs (Trade Compliance, Competition Law, Data Privacy, Anti-bribery and Corruption) and culture for SMF’s divisions. This includes promoting and driving compliance with laws, regulations, internal policies and procedures, but also to implementing monitoring frameworks to identify, report and mitigate compliance risks within your area of responsibility. You work actively to raise and maintain the awareness of all compliance related matters throughout the organization, by connecting our compliance programs to our operations in an easy and understandable way – making it a natural part of our day-to-day business. As you understand the importance of compliance in a sustainable and profitable business, you act as a link to the Sandvik Group’s Compliance functional council – ensuring collaboration across Sandvik’s other business areas and up to Sandvik Group Executive Management and the Board. The location for this role is preferably in Mebane, NC or other SMF US location to be agreed. Travel between our US sites and SMF headquarters in Stockholm is a natural part of the job. Your Profile We believe that You, to be successful in this role, are energetic, persistent and process-oriented with a broad-minded view. We also believe that you are good at communicating, including the ability to argue and convince. You are self-motivated and results oriented with a focus on quality. You have a strong integrity and enjoy turning complex matters into simple, business-friendly, solutions. You possess knowledge in US and global trade controls including the export controls programs required by BIS, OFAC, and other US agencies. Software industry experience is a strong advantage. We expect that you have a law and/or other relevant degree and 5-10 years working experience implementing Compliance programs.
