This role will perform simple tasks independently or more complex tasks under supervision. RESPONSIBILITIES Produce, update, and provide best practice support on MS documents, databases, and other departmental systems to support the work of more senior colleagues. Tasks could include purchasing materials, entering budgetary information, time, and expense recording and similar. Respond to routine requests using form letters or emails and to more unusual requests by editing templates to create customized responses. Create, organize, and maintain files containing the correspondence and records of a senior colleague. Prepare routine letters, memoranda, reports, and similar documents following detailed instruction. This is likely to involve using the full range of functions within standard office software. Schedule appointments, make arrangements for meetings to facilitate communications between business stakeholders, procurement team, and/or vendors. Organize own work schedule in order to get the job done, coordinating with support services and assigning short-term tasks to others if necessary. REQUIREMENTS A minimum of 5 years’ experience in indirect procurement services preferred. Experienced practitioner able to work unsupervised. Uses clear and effective verbal communications skills without supervision and provides technical guidance when required on expressing ideas, requesting actions, and formulating plans or policies. Uses an understanding of numerical concepts to perform mathematical operations such as report analysis with guidance (but not constant supervision). Supports business processes without supervision by understanding and effectively using standard office equipment and standard software packages, while providing technical guidance as needed. Works with guidance (but not constant supervision) to plan, organize, prioritize, and oversee activities to efficiently meet business objectives. Works with guidance (but not constant supervision) to develop, monitor, interpret and understand policies and procedures, while making sure they match organizational strategies and objectives. Works without supervision and provides technical guidance when required on analyzing data trends for use in reports to help guide decision making.
