This position is located within the Development Department of 365 Retail Markets and reports to the Manager of Technology. The Site Reliability Engineer will build solutions to enhance the availability, performance and stability of Stockwell Product’s services as well as automating away repetitive work. You'll be working on non-production and production environments, monitoring, data collection and configuration management, as well as disaster recovery planning, capacity engineering, reliability improvement initiatives and platform automation. Your mission will be to use cutting edge technology for monitoring and maintaining the day to day operations of the entire production infrastructure for Stockwell on our edge devices and our GCP platform.

This role will be key to maturing our delivery capabilities and to expand our machine learning expertise into several areas of retail automation.

Responsibilities

1. Support field technicians:

• Serve as the support engineer for new installations
• Train operators regarding product maintenance and troubleshooting
• Improve the install process by highlighting common problems and working with developers to create tools/scripts to simplify and troubleshoot the install process
• Provide attention to incidents according to Service Level Agreements.
• Take ownership and accountability for the incident resolution process.
• Exhibit ownership and accountability for incident resolution in a quality and timely manner.

2. Fleet Health Monitoring

• Monitor fleet of systems using existing dashboards and request new features where required
• Immediately triage technical issue calls during customer installations and from the field post-roll out
• Track issues and trends from deployed units and identify areas for program/product improvements
• Identify and resolve equipment or software performance related issues

3. Assist with Software rollouts

• Assist with the deployment and maintenance of our computer vision models both in cloud and edge environments
• Be the custodian of the application in production and staging, act as a technical liaison between multiple stake holders to evaluate, maintain, identify issues, and report them to product/application owner. bugs.

4. Technical Liaison

• Establish and maintain a good relationship with team members, Product Development, Customer Service and Sales.
• Participate in training and information sharing activities.
• Act as backup for other team members when necessary.
• Assist with field issues / escalation when required within reason

Requirements

• Background in software application development and support
• Expertise with Ubuntu Linux
• Bash Scripting experience
• Python programming experience

Nice to Have

• Django development experience
• MySQL experience
• Experience deploying and maintaining cloud applications in either AWS or GCP using Docker
