What you will do: • You will be responsible for creating and maintaining a culture of continuous improvement, innovation and initiative at all levels and functions within the terminal. • You will be responsible for communicating terminal targets to production team, creating action plans to meet agreed target levels, creating and meeting annual budget for the terminal, including full implementation of “UPM Smart Spend” Program initiatives. • You will be responsible for maintenance and investment planning/ scheduling maintaining high level of communication with and between all production employees, management of slitting capacity focusing on both short and long term needs of the terminal. • You will be in charge of management of overall laminate stocks, ensuring popper turnover of laminate inventory on hand, determination and reduction of quality issues related to Finishing. • Implement and control of working procedures in the terminal, while fostering cooperation among employees, to assure consistent quality on all shifts, provide clear leadership to Terminal Supervisor team, ensuring consistency across all shifts and procedures, share and implement best practices with other Terminal and Finishing Managers. • You will be responsible for maintaining appearance of building grounds and offices of the terminal. Who you are: • You have any combination of education and experience equivalent to 5 years managerial experience in a paper converting/ finishing environment, and BS in Engineering or related discipline. Previous background in mechanical and / or electrical maintenance desired. • You can demonstrate analytical / logical problem-solving ability, while demonstrating inventiveness and initiative. • You are able to acts as a change agent and serve as an effective team leader. People Management required. • You have excellent communication oral and written skills and the ability to fluently speak English. • You have previous computer experience, including MS Office products and automated production management systems - preferred. • Technical Background – Engineering, Process Experience required, Lean/Six Sigma Experience preferred.
