Job Details: Job Description: We are looking for a strategic thinker with hands-on design experience who welcomes challenges and thrives in a collaborative environment. You will have the opportunity to participate in both the research and design of products, utilizing strong visual and communication skills. You will be responsible for determining the design direction for a variety of security focused products, exercising discretionary and substantial decision-making authority. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: Translate product requirements into intuitive user experiences and be an advocate for the user. Effectively communicate design decisions through wireframes, user flows, and interactive prototypes. Work with UX Researcher to understand user needs, translating them into actionable requirements, and use the findings to inform and validate design decisions. Collaborate with product managers, UI designers, and engineers from discovery through implementation. Act as main point of contact to communicate project progress between teams and stakeholders. Participate in the review of work products for correctness, adherence to the UX design, and usability. Respond to and resolve technical issues during development and participate in content integration efforts. Work within deadlines by timeboxing efforts to expand or contract as needed. Offer feedback to management on ways to improve workflows and processes. Participate in Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) ceremonies including in-person PI planning events. Minimum Job Requirements: Degree in Visual Communication, Communication Design, Industrial Design, Human Computer Interaction, Computer Science or relevant field. 5 years professional experience in UX design with a strong portfolio that includes design samples that effectively communicates your process, including project insights and solutions. Eye for visual design excellence and commitment to user-centered design principles. Strong communication skills and ability to sell your UX vision to multiple groups. Self-starter and self-driven; have a high-level of professionalism and attention to detail. Experience using Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Sketch, InVision or similar. Must have the ability to work in a highly collaborative environment with UI Designers, PMs, system engineers, and QA teams. Must be flexible and adaptable to changing circumstances and be able to prioritize work to meet deadlines. Must be a US Citizen and have the ability obtain a security clearance. The Work Environment: The UX|UI team supports multiple products from cutting edge DARPA programs to military and commercial FMV software. There are multiple opportunities to work on unique projects, allowing you to expand your skill sets. We are responsible for the user research, UX design, visual design and development of brand materials that speak to users as well as buyers. As a Sr. UX Designer, you will be expected to support one to two products. Our team is fully remote, with occasional in person events such as PI planning held in the DC area, requiring some travel quarterly.
