THE ROLE:

In this role, you will design, develop, and implement benefits, wellness, and compensation strategies. You will lead the charge in creating compensation systems from scratch, managing external relationships, and ensuring compliance. This high-impact role involves empowering a team to support benefits, compensation programs, and leave of absence management. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Benefits:
    • Strategic Oversight: Direct the administration of company benefits programs, ensuring market competitiveness
    • Renewal Leadership: Lead the annual benefit renewal process, incorporating leadership feedback, market research, and cost analysis
    • Compliance Management: Ensure full compliance with state and federal regulations, overseeing reporting, filing requirements, and timely ACA compliance
  • Wellness:
    • Program Development: Drive the development of strategic well-being programs, seamlessly integrating initiatives into the organizational culture
    • Trend Awareness: Stay abreast of national wellness trends, implementing innovative solutions to enhance employee well-being
    • Event Management: Manage well-being events, monitoring program costs, and providing regular ROI analysis
  • Compensation:
    • Framework Design: Develop frameworks for base pay elements, including job structures and pay rates
    • Program Implementation: Drive the implementation of new compensation programs, supporting talent attraction, engagement, and retention
    • Philosophy Contribution: Contribute to the ongoing development of the company’s compensation philosophy, ensuring market competitiveness

This is a fully remote position. However, you will collaborate with your dynamic team in person once a month at our corporate office. 

The expected California Pay Range for this position is $145,000- $150,000.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:

  • 3 years of combined experience leading benefits and compensation programs
  • 1 years of experience leading and coaching high-performing teams
  • Strong analytical and financial analysis skills
  • Thorough knowledge of state and federal wage pay equity and compliance laws
  • Proven ability to research and apply best practices in total rewards
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Vlookups, pivot tables, macros)
  • Organized with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Independent and able to create and implement programs with minimal supervision
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Project management and cross-functional team collaboration experience
  • Resilient professional who thrives in new challenges and demonstrates commitment to results
