ESSENTIAL DUTIES FOR INSTALLATION TECHNICIAN:

• Manage basic electronic projects (i.e. identifying material required and organizing the job to complete work in a professional and economic manner)

• Install audio/visual, security, networks, and other electronic systems
• Troubleshoot and identify problems with electronic systems, repairing when possible, and recommend new or alternate solutions as necessary
• Provide an exceptional level of customer service by treating customers with respect, courtesy, and professionalism
• Follow industry codes, regulations, and standards
• Be self-motivated and project-oriented, while doing whatever is necessary to get the job done
• Maintain a safe work environment by following safe practices and adhering to safety policies, including practicing safe driving techniques
• Support co-workers and build positive working relationships with all team members

• Other duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS FOR INSTALLATION TECHNICIAN

• Diploma from a 2 year technical college in the electrical field (preferred)
• High school diploma or equivalent, with 2 years experience in the construction trades (may be acceptable)
• Basic understanding of electronics, audio acoustics, and networking (e.g. Ohm's law, network IP configuration, voltage drop calculations, audio equalizing, etc)
• Basic understanding of residential electrical wiring (e.g. installing switches, receptacles, basic understanding of 120V and 240V systems, etc)

• Working knowledge of construction practices and proficient in the use of power and hand tools
• Ability to work on a ladder, lift over 60 pounds, crawl into small spaces and work in all climates
• Possess a valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Ability to speak clearly, concisely, and communicate effectively in a courteous and professional manner
• Ability to meet company hiring criteria for pre-employment screening, including drug test and criminal background check
• Ability to work full time; which may include nights, weekends, and holidays, as required.
