2 Circle is looking for a highly skilled/qualified software engineer with experience developing, managing, and selling custom web applications in a teleworking environment for the DoD. The Software Engineer position supports 2 Circle’s Program Analytics Division (PAD), which is responsible for developing the technologies required to support AFLCMC/EB Armament Directorate in multiple weapons and platform development, procurement and sustainment activities.

The Software Engineer role is a full-time position that includes varying levels of application development, system administration, software support, database design/management, target and weapon performance data analytics, and on-site training of other analysts to include Government Civilians. Although there will be an expected level of responsiveness and availability, there is also an opportunity to weave these tasks into a schedule that allows personal and geographical flexibility.

Essential Job Functions

• Collaborate with a variety of customers (often in dynamic environments) to understand their unique needs
• Generate and effectively communicate technical requirements
• Integrate with other software engineers to achieve a common goal/vision
• Balance multiple tasks with competing time schedules (i.e., efficient/effective work output)
• Facilitate software test events to generate effective feedback (i.e., actionable improvements)
• Provide on-site training to end users
• Travel (estimated 10%)

Qualifications

2 Circle desires applicants with the highest level of credentials in their respective discipline area that can be matched appropriately to the needs of the clients.

• BA/BS degree required from an accredited college or university in computer science or related field (work experience may be considered as a substitute for the degree requirement)
• Eight (8) years of recent and relevant professional experience developing streamlined, useable, secure, and scalable desktop and mobile web applications
• Previous experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role as a Software Engineer
• Previous DOD software experience
• Knowledge of multiple front-end languages and libraries (e.g., HTML/ CSS, JavaScript, XML, jQuery)
• Knowledge of multiple back-end languages (e.g., C#, Java, Python) and JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Angular, React, Node.js)
• Familiarity with DoD policy, organization, contracting practices, and software requirements/development standards
• Secret security clearance (or higher), eligible for TS/SCI, and must be able to obtain SAP level clearances within 6 months of hire
• Applicant for this position must be a self-starter (i.e., able to take initiative and work independently), possess strong organizational/project management skills, and have a passion for developing solutions that improve the effectiveness/efficiency of our customers/partners
