Job Summary

This position is remote and consideration is open nationwide. This position reports to the Vice President of 2 Circle’s Software Solution Division (SSD), which is responsible for developing the technologies that enhance 2 Circle’s industry-leading consulting practices and bringing those technologies to market for the Department of Defense, strategic foreign partners, and targeted commercial industries. The SSD is currently developing a patented line of software products that analyze and assess the execution of individual skills to reshape the way that highly functioning teams make training and resourcing decisions. This is a full-time position that involves the review, design, implementation, and documentation of cybersecurity policies and procedures, as well as the technical solutions required to implement them. The Cybersecurity Engineer will assist in authorization and accreditation efforts, interfacing with project managers and engineers, other contractors, and government officials towards securing Authorizations To Operate (ATOs) for our applications, environments, and systems. Experience with application development, system administration, software support, database design/management, graphic design, data analytics, on-site training, and marketing/sale of custom web applications in commercial markets will also be considered.

Essential Job Functions

  • Collaborate with a variety of customers, often in dynamic environments, to understand their unique needs
  • Generate and effectively communicate technical requirements
  • Integrate with other hardware/software engineers to achieve a common goal/vision
  • Balance multiple tasks with competing time schedules (i.e., efficient/effective work output)
  • Facilitate test events to generate effective feedback (i.e., actionable improvements)
  • Provide on-site training to end users
  • Travel (estimated 10%)

Qualifications

  • Associate degree from an accredited college or university in computer science or related field. Work experience may be considered as a substitute for the degree requirement
  • Five (5) years of experience developing streamlined, useable, secure, and scalable desktop and mobile web applications
  • Secret security clearance (or higher), eligible for TS/SCI, and obtain SAP level clearances within 6 months of hire
  • General up-to-date knowledge and experience dealing with DoD Cybersecurity policies and guidelines
  • Applying DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)
  • Experience working with Microsoft and Linux operating systems, switches, routers, firewalls, networks, and host intrusion detection systems
  • Experience deploying software, operating systems, and firmware updates on network devices, Microsoft and Linux operating systems, and virtualization platforms
  • Familiarity with developing and maintaining documentation and reports, including security plans, Plan of Action & Milestones (POA&Ms), software/hardware inventory, network diagrams, INFOSEC policies and procedures, risk assessment reports, and security assessment plans and reports
  • DoD 8750/8140 security certification such as CAP, A , Security , Network
  • Experience with securing and monitoring a CI/CD pipeline.
  • Experience working on-site in a government client environment.
  • Ability to take ownership/initiative, work independently, and develop solutions that improve the effectiveness of our customers/partners
