If you want to grow your skills and develop your career, find out more at www.imerys.com The PositionMechanic - Maintenance Job Summary Safely perform all tasks to include following all safe access systems (LOTO, confined space, fall protection, etc.), conduct daily area inspections, and perform housekeeping in work areas. Perform daily routine maintenance/safety inspections. Utilize good housekeeping practices. Perform preventative/corrective maintenance tasks as assigned. Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment in order to diagnose machine malfunctions. Perform root cause analysis to prevent repeat failures. Perform routine preventive maintenance to maintain basic conditions to ensure that equipment and systems continue to run smoothly, efficiently and do not deteriorate. Diagnose electrical and mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, check drawings/blueprints, repair manuals and parts catalogs as necessary. Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments, repair or replace defective equipment. Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools and power tools. Record maintenance and repair work performed and the costs of the work in appropriate format. Recommend changes to equipment/process in order to improve efficiencies. Perform other duties as assigned.
