Job Description Job Title: Events Manager FLSA Status: Exempt Department: Events Position Summary: Oversee business strategy and execution of events and tournaments. Position Responsibilities Develop and execute strategic and tactical event plans Oversee event operations staff Establish and manage overall event operations budgets Develop, manage and communicate companywide reporting processes Help achieve company goals by successfully planning, organizing and managing events Prepare an event production timeline for all events Assist with the procurement, training and management of event staff Prepare venue schedules for both on and off campus events Assist with marketing campaign including communication and promotions partnering with Marketing as appropriate Develop and manage companywide risk and site management plans Liaison between corporate sponsors, event staff and IMG Academy business partners Adhering to all company policies, procedures and business ethic codes Other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills and Ability Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or related field 3 years of successful event planning and management Sports background Experience in event planning and management of youth sports/events Ability to establish and follow budgets Ability to manage and supervise people Highly motivated and able to take initiative Ability to work in a fast – paced, dynamic environment meeting multiple deadlines Strategic thinker with the ability to learn existing processes and improve them by setting up new procedures Ability to travel 25% of the time Exceptionally detailed in work Ability to communicate to a variety of audiences Strong organizational skills Desire to work collaboratively with colleagues Excellent written and verbal communication skills Preferred Skills Staff leadership experience Business development experience Physical Demands and Work Environment Ability to lift, move, push and pull equipment or boxes in excess of 40lbs. Ability to perform the physical aspects of event set up, tear down and execution. Must be able to travel frequently and with limited lead time Should be able to handle outdoor temperatures for a reasonable period of time.
