Below are some common duties performed by a Handyman but are not all inclusive of all task that will be performed:

• Perform general repairs around the property such as electrical repairs, trouble shooting wiring, changing lightbulbs, including lights.
• Ensure mechanical equipment is in working order and fixed as necessary.
• Complete general building cleaning and maintenance.
• Repair and paint doors, windows, walls, ceilings, roofs and other parts of the building.
• Maintain trash and recycling receptacles around the facility.
• Undertake duties as assigned with minimal supervision
• Identify and report the need for major repairs to supervisor
• Performs janitorial and maintenance of physical building, property, as necessary, including but not limited to:
• Installs/Replaces signage, light bulbs, batteries (smoke detectors)
• Lubricates machinery
• Monitors generator, pumps, timers
• Touches up paint and plaster
• Pressure cleans
• Purchases supplies
• Physically walks and inspects property on a daily basis.
• Begins daily work quickly, independently, and on time.
• Focuses on the completion of tasks and activities.
• Takes a hands-on approach to any necessary duties to ensure the job is completed.
• Seeks out and utilize available internal and external resources, such as other team members, manuals and training guides, etc. to meet goals and objectives.
• Upholds high standards of honesty for self and team members.
• Consistently and effectively communicates with the Property Manager.
• Conducts himself or herself in a professional, business-like manner.
• Receives written work orders or verbal instructions from supervisor.
• Washes windows.
• Empties trash cans and consolidates trash for weekly pickup. Manages garbage and recycling.
• Paints interior and exterior walls and trim.

• Assists with moving furniture and unloading and storing supplies.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
