1199SEIU Employment Center is Hiring a Patient Care Technician (PCT/PCA) Near New York, NY
Obtain patient vital signs and report results to staff nurse or physician to identify changes from prior measurements. Obtain blood specimens for testing by performing venipuncture and/or finger stick testing, i.e., blood glucose monitoring. Prepare collected specimens for pick-up by labeling and preparing required forms. Participate in collecting routine personal medical data/information for patient health history. New Graduates welcome to apply!
Qualifications:Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED/TASC required
- Current PCT/PCA certification required
- Training in EKG and phlebotomy required
- Current BCLS/CPR highly desirable
- Bilingual is a plus
Schedule
- All positions are in hospitals and nursing homes. These facilities are open 24 hours/7 days each week.
- General shift availability:
- Days (7a-3p or 8a-4p)
- Evenings (3p-11p or 4p-12a)
- Nights (11p-7a or 12a-8a)
- Every other weekend is usually required for all positions.
COVID-19 vaccination is required.
Most positions include a comprehensive Union benefits package and competitive salaries.
