The IT Director will lead and direct a technical team to deliver high quality, innovative technical services that generate client or stakeholder value, competitive advantage to achieve Maritz business needs. The IT Director reports to VP, IT. Works closely with Operations leaders, key project stakeholders and clients. May have 10 direct reports including mangers. STRATEGY DEVELOPMENT: 60% Works closely with VP, IT and other leaders in developing and executing functional area strategy. Strong analytical involvement in many aspects of technology solutions. Knowledge of industry/competition systems. LEADERSHIP 20%: Key leader of functional area. Plays strategic role in development planning and career pathing for their teams. Leads and mentors other managers and directors. Manages team of 10 staff; could include managers. INTERNAL AND CLIENT INTERACTIONS 20%: Direct contact with all areas of Operations and with Senior Management. Interacts with clients for IT related solutions and issues. Key stakeholder for most complex and high-profile projects. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related discipline with an information technology focus or equivalent experience 5-7 years technology-related management experience. Experience directing technical teams and managers required. Advanced knowledge of best in class technical tools, techniques, and processes. Solid understanding of IT Technologies and project management tools Ability to manage multiple projects/priorities simultaneously Proven experience with process improvement Customer-facing experience Provides strategic direction to maintain key business and program goals Provides thought leadership in the technology space Actively contributes during internal strategy meetings and external client meetings Combines technology with marketing to ensure technology strategies are in line with business and marketing goals Disclaimer This job description is designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by associates within this classification.
