We want a resourceful, data-driven, and strategic self-starter to play a pivotal role in driving the machine learning strategy for our global FinTech products. Your deep understanding of our travelers and key business value drivers will accelerate near and long-term performance by identifying, prioritizing, and rolling out new InsurTech product enhancements. Your efforts will increase customer engagement and satisfaction and will be a core lever of our strategic growth plan. What you’ll do: You will lead discovery across cross-functional stakeholders to develop understanding of a shared problem, makes suggestions for solutions and recommend which solutions will achieve the most ideal customer or business outcome You will define appropriate ranges for metrics and tell the story of the metrics over time to understand when products are behaving normally. You will also proactively identify issues and take action to remediate You will apply feedback and data from measurements towards product improvements through test and learns and other testing methodologies to positively impact the business (i.e., cost savings, revenue, conversion, etc.). You will partner with stakeholders and manager to develop new ideas for research, testing and feedback loops to better understand and quantify customer pain points. You will develop advanced frameworks to test hypotheses and understands the impact of more complex decisions in various scenarios, drawing upon thoughts and insights from different sources You will build clear, concise and well-structured functional material (e.g., policies & procedures, guidelines, presentations, messages) and recommend improvements to existing material. You will tailor communications (content focus, style, format, etc.) for different audiences as appropriate Who you are: Bachelor's, Masters or PhD degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or a related Technical field; or Equivalent related professional experience Some familiarity with agile practices, data science principles, the scientific method and reverse engineering Experienced serving as a SME for product features owned including the ability to demo, explain capabilities and understand technologies used Experience with both B2C and platform related products desirable Experience with travel insurance or FinTech a plus #L1- KN1 At Expedia Group, we believe in bringing people together and creating an inclusive workplace where everyone belongs and can do their best work.
