Job Summary The Corporate Recruiter is responsible for executing the full lifecycle talent acquisition process including the sourcing, screening, interviewing, and hiring of well-qualified, diverse team members who will support JOANN's, mission and vision. The recruiter will perform duties across all levels and all divisions of the corporate organization. Ensures the recruitment and hiring process complies with company policies and procedures and with local, state and federal employment laws and regulations. PRINCIPAL DUTIES • Leads and facilitates the Hire Happy process for filling open positions with key talent - internal or external. The recruiter screens each candidate to assess relevant knowledge, skills, experience and potential. Next, they decide which candidates to present to the hiring manager based on business knowledge, the job requirements and team dynamic. 40% • Develops a recruiting strategy for each open position by utilizing a number of tactics (i.e. job boards, LinkedIn, communities, functional groups, etc. ). In addition, the recruiter fosters connections with such organizations for networking purposes and brand representation. 20% • The Recruiter conducts debriefs with the interview panel to gain alignment on the final candidate. Secondly, the recruiter prepares and extends all offers to candidates. Once pre-employment screenings are complete, the recruiter works with the Recruiting Specialist to ensure the flawless onboarding of candidates. 15% • The recruiter closely collaborates and builds sustainable relationships with hiring managers and HRBPs. Through these partnerships, the Recruiter will seek to understand the business entity they support, as well as the position being recruited for. 20% • Proactively monitors and applies best practices. to the hire happy process. Participates and influences the evolution of the JOANN Employment Branding project to ensure a consistent message, experience and relationship built with candidates and hiring managers. Monitors and reacts appropriately to ensure all candidates have a positive experience before, during and after the selection process. 5% EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration Minimum Experience: 2 years Experience in Human Resources function (i.e Talent Management, HRIS, Employee Relations). Preferred Experience: 3-5 years Experience in corporate recruitment Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities • Technical - Detailed understanding of online recruitment and sourcing programs. • Results Orientation - Achieves desired results by completing tasks and performance goals on schedule. • Adapt & Learn – Act as a positive agent of change and actively supports adoption of company priorities, policies and procedures. • Communication - Shares information with peers, manager and hiring manager. • Creativity and Innovation – Considers new ways of looking at problems. Uses resources and creative solutions to address issues. • Customer Focus – Supports customers' current requirements and needs. • Influence - Ensures proposals are supported by strong logic, measurable and a compelling business case. • Exercising Sound Judgment – Assists in identifying recommendations to address the issue. • Teamwork & Collaboration - Offers resources to support a culture of collaboration and teamwork.
