About the Role The Servers and Storage Team is looking for an experienced and skilled Senior Systems Engineer to design, manage and support virtual server infrastructure and storage platforms. In a truly global team, this role will be responsible for technical Servers and Storage outcomes globally, while collaborating and participating in new projects. This position is responsible for maintaining our end-to-end computing, virtualization, and storage environment. In this position, successful candidate will be able to apply solve interesting problems, operate cross-functionally and learn cutting edge technologies and approaches. RESPONSIBILITIES · Deliver technical projects and operations for the globally deployed infrastructure · Design, manage, and support virtual and physical servers, and storage services · Proactively addressing infrastructure problems · Improve user satisfaction · Build new enhancements and technologies related to virtualization, servers, and storage · Create and maintain time-saving automation jobs for our support teams that perform repetitive tasks · Create, maintain, and optimize a high-availability environment for our resources · Seek opportunities for service improvement and ticket reduction · Ensure issues are communicated and escalated appropriately using the Incident and Problem Management process · Provide training and guidance on best practices to cross-functional peers QUALIFICATIONS · Excellent written and verbal communication skills · Strong investigative and decision-making, and skills · Strong intellectual curiosity with aptitude to provide innovative solutions · Ability to self-motivate and work with global teams effectively with minimum daily supervision · Ability to create and manage work instructions, system, and project documentation · VMware vSphere knowledge and experience including design, deployment, and maintenance of datacenters and clusters from the ground up including vSphere 7, vCenter, esxi, vDS, and VSAN · Knowledge and experience with of SAN and NAS storage systems · Working knowledge of networking including TCP-IP, routing, subnets, DNS, and firewalls · Windows Server Administration experience including server templating, patching, maintenance, and troubleshooting · Working knowledge of Linux operating systems · Hands-on experience administering Active Directory · Hands-on experience administering SMB file shares and permissions · PowerShell, BASH, or Python scripting experience a plus · Exposure to cloud technology and services (AWS/Azure) is a plus · Experience supporting critical production applications Not sure you meet 100% of our qualifications?
