And that has always been our greatest strength. As a Solutions Architect, you will play a critical role in supporting our Public Sector Group. Our clients span state and federal agencies. You will work hands-on with internal teams and clients as a trusted advisor, leading and designing technical discussions and assisting in the design of solutions for proposals. Preventing the problem is the goal but finding the solution is your focus. You believe that it can always be made better, faster, and more reliable! Technologies you will use: AWS, Azure, GCP, Java, C , Python or Ruby, Active Directory, Networking, Kubernetes, Mesos, DC/OS, Swarm, R Here is what you will be doing day to day in this Solutions Architect role: Develop the vision for the solution, including technology and development practices, by working with various stakeholders and constituents, including other Solution Architects. Own the technical decisions of the pre-sales effort, arriving at them through a collaborative and team-based approach. Stay abreast of technology trends, organizational approaches, standards, and solution designs of other domains to augment your concepts and decisions. Evaluate technical capabilities of third-party vendor applications and participate in the vendor selection process. Design and develop proof-of-concept solutions to validate technical approaches and strategy. Analyze and validate assumptions—technical and non-technical—during initial business development phases. Assess solution/project/project fitness for technology landscape and company strategy; document potential risks to ensure informed decision making. Understand existing enterprise assets, including frameworks, patterns, and subsystems; ensure teams use them where appropriate. Publish, socialize, and evangelize the assets you have developed with our broader architecture community. What you must have: Must be able to obtain Public Trust clearance. US Citizenship or Green Card Holder required due to Federal contract requirements. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or other related scientific or technical discipline. 5 or more years of experience with AWS, Azure, or container cloud services. Certification in, or certification-ready in: AWS or GCP, Azure, or other cloud platform. 8 years of experience working with solution teams to frame customer problems, find ways to address them, and deliver solutions that meet their needs. What we would like you to have: 5 years’ experience with industry standards for building services in IaaS/PaaS/SaaS using Cloud environments. 3 years’ experience with TOGAF, Product Management principles, and Agile methodologies.
