Job Details What you will do: You will develop, execute, and deploy content, communications, and other marketing activities related to Johnson Controls’ Ducted Systems Residential and Commercial heating and cooling products. Working closely with the marketing managers for both residential and commercial products, you will collaborate with key partners from various teams, to get a firm understanding of the products and their respective advantages to the marketplace, for developing content and implementing efficiently against go-to-market strategies. You will work cross-functionally, unifying, and motivating peers from different teams including product management, channel marketing, sales enablement marketing, communications, and creative content production. You will need to gain a deep knowledge of the products, buying audiences, and overall drivers and needs, and will often act as a subject matter authority who transfers knowledge about markets, buyers, and products across marketing and sales functions. NOTE: This is a virtual/remote position considering candidates who reside within the United States How you will do it: Build and execute go-to-market strategies for new product launches. Help update, maintain, and support marketing assets and platforms. Manage and direct creative agencies to develop content and execute marketing communication activities. Leverage established communication channels to drive awareness of our brand, content, and other assets. Identify and leverage subject matter experts to generate thought leadership materials such as press releases, contributing articles, white papers, etc. Develop product positioning, value propositions, and messaging that resonates with the buying audience and produce the source messaging blueprint. Collaborate with marketing peers and resources to produce relevant content for target buyers and the sales channels that service them. Develop the driven comparison guide for use in positioning against similar offerings from other organizations. Collaborate with the sales enablement marketing manager to produce a sales enablement plan. Enable sellers and coordinate the development of sales content and activities for direct and indirect sales in support of the channel marketing manager(s). Lead launch planning and orchestrate the execution of the commercial release of a product. Provide market and buyer insights to drive the creation of campaign strategies including demand creation and reputation building. Develop customer references, testimonials, and case studies for external and internal use. Drive product retention and upsell/cross-sell strategies. Serve as Digital Access Management (DAM) system authority with the management of collateral, assets, and document repositories. What we look for: Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or equivalent. 3-5 years experience in technical sales, marketing, or product management for a manufacturer. Baseline familiarity with B2B2C business models. Ability to navigate highly technical products with specific applications. Proficiency with internal support systems such as asset management platforms, CRM, project management, and design software. Familiarity with social medial platforms. Previous project management experience with creative production such as digital, video, and graphic design through creative agencies. Preferred: Previous experience in HVAC is a plus, but not required if the candidate is open to learning.
