What you will do This position is for a controls engineering technician for a lithium ion cell manufacturing process. The desired candidate has the ability to provide technical solutions, work autonomously, and provide support to manufacturing operations and maintenance functions by troubleshooting a wide variety of manufacturing equipment. Must have a strong focus on process controls, safety, and quality. The ideal candidate will have experience with PLC hardware and software and HMIs (Allen Bradly and others), robotics (Fanuc, Mitsubishi, and others), communications (Ethernet, TCP/IP, and others), conveying systems and electrical distribution. How you will do it Program and troubleshoot PLC controls and HMIs for proper function. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Support verification of electrical safety in equipment design for equipment launch. Keep equipment electrical drawings current and accurate. Resolve equipment stoppage and downtown problems and perform root cause failure analysis. Keep equipment operational by working with maintenance; following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures. Implement equipment programming updates as required. (Robotics / PLC) Contribute to ensuring customer expectations and KPIs are exceeded. Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management teams. Flexibility to work on second or third shift. Daily interface with technical staff on project assignments, updates, and problem solving.
