Responsibilities Research complex accounting topics to develop a fact-based conclusion in accordance with US GAAP and present conclusions, noting options and recommendations to management, including working with our external auditors. Draft relevant technical memos, referencing the authoritative guidance to support these conclusions. Serve as a key technical resource for the sale team, supporting the process end to end by performing contract reviews, analyzing, modeling and concluding on accounting treatment, and consulting with the sales teams during the contract negotiations process. Continuously improve the quality of the revenue recognition process, provide leadership, education, and strategy for contract-specific questions, and document conclusions for complex transactions. Respond to technical accounting inquiries from business partners and explain technical accounting matters and concepts to all levels within the organization. Assess the impact of new and proposed accounting pronouncements and standards to ensure compliance with SEC and GAAP reporting requirements, provide guidance to address the implications associated with adoption and implementation. Assist with the financial reporting process, including drafting disclosures and ensuring supporting schedules are accurate. Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures as necessary.
